Unseen side

25 July 2014
Procrastinated for the longest time to get this post up because I didn't feel like the photos are special per se, even though it was a nice day and I had a good time. I mean that you can find hundreds or thousands of stunning images of graffiti from countless blogs, and I felt these were lacking a sort of factor. Not to mention, they don't quite capture the real coolness and epicness of the graffiti galore. One thing I didn't expect was just how this side of Ostend could differ so much from the Ostend I daily see. Leroy and I ventured 'de vismijn' to take some pictures and oh my, I still can't get over how one side of a city can differ so much from the other. Since I haven't taken any graffiti pictures ever, capturing them was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I am not good at choosing angles and it definitely is clear when you see the pictures below. After that we both stumbled upon this empty building and we headed inside. The building was full of broken and or used bits and bobs - varied from TVs, radios, even shoes and all. At one side of the building there were these stairs that led downstairs. We made it to a door to a room that was pitch black - I wanted to go inside but said forget about it. The room was practically empty and it was so creepy down there.

Have a nice day! :)
