In late May, I had a quick school trip to Northern France, to Nord-Pas de Calais to be exact. It was my first time there and I really hoped that it wouldn't rain. Yes, the weather was being nice the whole day except the last hour or so before we left. We spent many hours sitting on the bus through the beautiful scenery along the way. Once we arrived, my friends and I stopped by at a local bakery (which also sold pizzas) so Cato and I decided to share une pizza au fromage de chèvre. | Further on the day we visited a beautiful field full of yellow flowers which I don't know the name of, and also, I forgot the name of the place. Getting lost in the folds and petals of those flowers with my camera was very soothing, it was one of the landscapes you can't capture with a camera because you won't do it justice. I only wish I had more time to stay there.
p.s thanks for stopping by!

And the walls kept tumbling down In the city that we love Great clouds roll over the hills Bringing darkness from above *elegantly singing Pompeii by Bastille because, don't you get the reference?* |
We have spent a day in Pompeii. It was probably one of the most impressive and sumptuous place I have seen so far. While walking through the ruins of the city, one faltered with the glorious history and architecture of the 6th-7th century BC of Italy. Pompeii surely has 1000 reasons to be one of the most famous tourist attractions of Italy. |
Orvieto is one of the places that I am longing to go back again now. It was one of those March afternoons that makes you melancholic. We decided to enter the Orvieto's Duomo (which was the main reason we went there) and it really mesmerized me. It offered me a moment of meditation while I was walking in a state of melancholy among the exquisite and precise details of the dome. | Such a shame we couldn't take pictures of the inside, and even though we could, I don't think I could've done justice to the results. The dome is something where wealth, fame and dignity unite in a powerful atmosphere. We also visited Naples, which I don't have any pictures of. After a long day we went to our hotel in Vico Equense and I thought I could stay there forever. The view from our room was just breathtaking. |
